Meet Our Veterinarian & Owner

Dr. Sara Blakesley, DVM
 

Dr. Sara Blakesley graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and began her career as a Veterinarian at Lone Mountain Animal Hospital. In 2011, she moved to Dewey Veterinary Medical Center where she practiced until December 2014. After 12 years of practicing, she finally decided to begin a new practice of her own, Southern Hills Animal Hospital. 

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Blakesley is a proud member of the LSU Alumni Association of Las Vegas, best known as the "Sin City Tigers". During school, she met her husband, Chris. They have been married for over 17 years and have three fur-kids total: two chihuahua mixes named Jimmy & Nola and another chihuahua named Pedro
