Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV)

This is a highly contagious disease caused by a calicivirus that affects rabbits only - wild and domestic. Until 2020, there have been very few cases seen in the US, but since the beginning of the year, there has been an emerging outbreak in the Southwest US, including two confirmed cases in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our clinic is working to import a vaccine for this terrible disease.
